Electric SLS AMG made with aluminum and carbon fiber shown in Shanghai

Recently the SLS AMG Electric Drive has debuted stunningly at the Shanghai auto show.

The most conspicuous place is its expected light blue electroplating paint with the extensive use of aluminum and carbon fiber materials in order to carry larger battery pack with extent possibility. The present battery is a 400V lithium battery with a 60 kWh capacity.

The SLS AMG Electric Drive is an upcoming electric version of the SLS AMG planned for release in June 2013. The production vehicle was unveiled in 2012 Paris Motor Show, with market launch scheduled for June 2013. Pricing in Germany starts at €416,500.

Four independent electric motors can burst out a force of 751 horse power, plus the electric congenital large torque advantage, this superior sports car can be accelerated to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

Other features include pushrod damper struts, 402 x 39 mm front and 360 x 32 mm rear brake discs made in carbon fibre-strengthened ceramic, Full-LED headlamps, AMG 10-spoke light-alloy wheels with smooth-surfaced design, AMG Drive Unit angled towards driver, Nappa leather in a black/white colour combination at sports seats, performance leather/alcantara steering wheel and the door linings, centre tunnel.
