JEC Group have brought together the international community of composites leaders and executives in our Composites Circle as an unique networking opportunity to meet with both peers and future partners.
Sponsored news - Find out how thermal analysis methods can be used to determine the properties of WPC compounds
Wood-plastic composites, or WPCs, are typical examples of polymers reinforced with natural materials. They consist of the renewable raw material wood (as wood dust or wood fiber), a mostly synthetic polymer and additives. Predominantly thermoplastics such as polyolefins (PE, PP) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) are used as a polymer matrix.Thermal analysis methods – in particular thermogravimetry (TGA), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), dilatometry (DIL), evolved gas analysis and light/laser flash analysis (LFA, for determination of the thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity) – are powerful tools for determining the properties of WPC compounds. By means of selected application examples, this webinar illustrates the conclusions which can be drawn from measurement curves based on the thermoanalytical methods introduced. You can register online for this webinar here.Registration and participation are free of charge.More information:www.netzsch-thermal-analysis.com
