German Lloyd's help China to establish wind turbine blade material fatigue testing standard

China national glass steel products quality supervision and inspection center and China national fiber-reinforced plastic Standardization Committee invited German Lloyd's to held a wind turbine blade material fatigue properties testing technology conference on in Beijing.

Along with the development of composite wind turbine blade industry and technology progress, blade material dynamic fatigue properties have got more and more attention in the industry. Especially German Lloyd's (GL) certification has strict requirements on resin, fiber, sandwich structure, bonding agent and some important materials fatigue performance. Presently, there is no consistent standard and technology for the blade fatigue testing.

 

In order to meet China blade manufacturers and suppliers of raw materials requirements, China national glass steel products quality supervision and inspection center and China national fiber-reinforced plastic Standardization Committee invited German Lloyd's to held a wind turbine blade material fatigue properties testing technology conference on in Beijing. The material dynamic fatigue testing standard, evaluation method and dynamic fatigue performance standards planning and applications have been discussed in-depth.

 

The meeting have discussed on the domestic and foreign standards of the dynamic fatigue properties, fatigue performance test methods, test data evaluation methods, dynamic fatigue properties of the national standards organization and reporting and GL certification requirements on dynamic fatigue properties of the material fatigue performance test. They hope that through this meeting, the national standard for fatigue test, blade design and manufacturing technology will be gradually formed in line with China's blade design requirements.
