Goldwind supply wind turbines to Thailand's first wind power project

Goldwind announced that the company has reached an agreement with EGCO (Electricity Generating Public Company Limited), a subsidiary of Thailand State Grid Corp.

According to the agreement, Goldwind will supply three GW109/2500 low wind speed series direct drive permanent magnet wind turbines to EGCO Thailand's first wind power project THEPPANA wind farm project. Goldwind will also supply with the wind farm central monitoring system SCADA.


THEPPANA wind farm project is the first order Goldwind got in Southeast Asia market. This project construction is scheduled to complete in the third quarter of 2013. This wind farm project is located in Chaiyaphum Thailand northeast of Bangkok, about 250 km from Bangkok.


Local average air density is 1.137 kg / m3, the project site average maximum temperature is above 40 centigrade, the minimum temperature is about 12 degrees centigrade.


According to the specific local wind resources and climate characteristics, Goldwind will provide specially designed and developed GW109/2500 low speed direct-driven permanent magnet generator series to the wind farm.
