Two Goodrich Corporation engineers have been named as ‘rising stars’ in the Make it in Great Britain 30 Under 30 campaign.

Rojiv Ali, from the Wolverhampton, UK, facility and Darcy O’Gara from the Banbury, UK, facility have been awarded this honor.

The Make it in Great Britain 30 Under 30, celebrates and recognizes the best 30 individuals under the age of 30 in the UK manufacturing industry.

“I always dreamed of being a pilot in the air force and became increasingly interested in the science of flight. I realized that making things fly was just as thrilling; and chose a career in aerospace engineering where I can share that experience with the millions who fly every day,” said Rojiv Ali.

“This opportunity will enable me to show my passion for engineering and to inspire other young people to follow this challenging and rewarding career path, learning and influencing how things work,” said Darcy O’Gara. “I can’t wait for the day where I get into an automobile or aircraft and say that there is something I designed on it.”

Organized by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills, Make it in Great Britain aims to promote the manufacturing industry to wider audiences. Goodrich will exhibit as part of the Make it in Great Britain exhibition at the London Science Museum alongside other manufacturing industry leaders from July 24 to Sept. 9, 2012.
