The Andalusian Aerospace Cluster Hélice and Aéro Montreal, Québec’s aerospace cluster, have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting industrial and technological cooperation, and exchange of expertise for the development of joint projects between companies and institutions of both aerospace clusters.
The main objective of this agreement is to promote the development of joint initiatives and bilateral investment, facilitate research, technological exchange and development of R&D projects, organizing trade missions and meetings between Andalusian companies and Canadian as well as the promotion of international monitoring, and other training and dissemination initiatives on the aerospace sector in both regions.It also seeks to study and analyze business opportunities among companies in the aerospace industry in Andalusia and Canada, specifically in Quebec, one of the most important regions in this sector in North America.The Aéro Montreal Cluster represents the aerospace sector in the region of Quebec, which comprises more than 200 companies with a turnover of $13 billion - of which exports 80% - and 41 500 employees. In particular, it meets the 55% of the sales of the aerospace industry of Canada, 55% of the employees and 70% of the total expenditure on R&D, which has become one of the large aerospace poles of North America, next to Seattle in the USA.Its industry is composed of large worldwide manufacturers, subcontractors and suppliers of first level, prestigious universities and educational institutions and research centers.
