Innovative MTI valve for the MTI® process

JEC Europe 2014 - As a world premiere, DD-Compound will present the new MTI valve at the JEC Europe 2014 in Paris together with the MTI hose and the new Squeezee tube clamp.

The MTI process (Membrane Tube Infusion) for CFRP and GFRP part production developed by DD-Compound has been received equally well by science and industry. The new, unique MTI valve perfects this. When using the MTI process, the valve is placed at the resin infusion line. It controls the resin infusion by means of pressure and limits the infusion exactly to the amount of resin with which an optimum fibre volume ratio is reached. Supervising the resin supply is no longer necessary (provided that enough resin is available). The valve thus ensures the highest quality of the parts with reproducible results.

The MTI process and the new MTI valve are suitable for all part sizes and any degree of complexity, from small trim parts up to rotor blades. They can be used for prototypes, small series and batch production, in different industries such as wind power, aerospace, navy, automotive or sports. Both are also used for building moulds.
