International Symposium on Structural Composites call for papers

News International-French

11 Dec 2015

SFIP, in continuity with its two previous congresses – Nantes 2014 and Douai 2015 – and PPE, in continuity with its JTI (9th edition), join forces to organize, with the partnership of GPA and IRT M2P, a symposium, “International Symposium on Structural Composites” on June 8 & 9, 2016 in Saint-Avold, France.

Structural composite materials are being used more and more extensively. Their developments, with the aim of weight saving, are growing in transportation (automotive, aerospace, railway, boating) and renewable energies (wind and tidal turbines).

However, the greatest challenge for these industries remains:

  • To develop and optimize mass production manufacturing processes economically acceptable, especially for the automotive industry
  • To enhance non destructive testing and characterization methods to improve performances and reliability
  • To implement innovative multi-material joining technologies

With the aim to make progress reports in reaching theses targets, SFIP, in continuity with its two previous congresses – Nantes 2014 and Douai 2015 – and PPE, in continuity with its JTI (9th edition), join forces to organize, with the partnership of GPA and IRT M2P, a new Symposium named "International Symposium on Structural Composites" with special focus on:

  • Large scale production with a visit of the “Fast RTM Platform” dedicated to high volume production of composite parts for automotive
  • Non destructive testing for composite parts and characterization
  • Assembly of composite parts
  • New and innovative production processes

If you are interested in giving a paper, please send us an abstract of half a page (one A4 page maximum) and use the form below to send your proposal already now, and by January 11, 2016.
