JEC Composites Magazine: Can you explain the genesis of the Korean Carbon & Nano Association to us?
Ph.D. ChongSoo James Park: On September 23rd, 52 major Korean carbon nano-related companies gathered at InterContinental Hotel in Seoul to hold a general meeting, the founding promoter of the Carbon Nano Industry Association, and on October 19th, it had been obtained the approval for the establishment of KCNA as a corporation from the Government.

JEC Composites Magazine: What are these objectives and its main missions?
Ph.D. ChongSoo James Park: The Carbon Nano industry is a national core high-tech industry in Korea, and it has been a stagnant reality due to the absence of a related association that activates the network between related industries or the central axis of the global future key growth industry. In addition, in order to successfully implement the Korean version of the New Deal policy, green energy and eco-friendly future mobility, which the government is promoting after the coronavirus crisis in July, the vitalization and role of the carbon nano industry is being emphasized.
