Lamilux achieved the greatest turnover in its 100-year company history in 2013 when the Bavarian manufacturer of reinforced composites and daylight systems earned 175 million euros.
The family firm has thus managed to sustain continued growth another year. They managed to achieve a two-digit increase of 10.8 per cent yet again. Factors which brought this renewed success include a remarkable capacity for innovation and a strong presence on future international markets. The executive management also attributes their positive business development to the sustainable business practices in their value-oriented family firm. They do not want to achieve rapid growth at any price. They are far more interested in solid, responsible development in all areas of their company. The company operates very successfully on the international fibre-reinforced composites market. As Dr Heinrich Strunz explains, lightweight construction of vehicles and truck bodies and energy-efficient transport are also playing an increasingly greater role in the commercial and recreational vehicle industries. 'Using our very sturdy, yet very lightweight composite materials in the roofing, side walls and floors of vehicle bodies enables us to reduce their weight significantly.'The company managed to impress yet more well-known manufacturers in the bus, caravan and commercial vehicle sectors last year thanks to the advantages of Lamilux materials. 'Our composites are in demand worldwide and increasingly replace conventional materials such as steel sheeting and aluminium.'Dr Heinrich Strunz is sure the fact that the material meets the automotive industry's strict standards has helped a great deal. Lamilux is the first fibre-reinforced composites manufacturer to have voluntarily submitted most of its laboratory and testing facilities to testing by TÜV Süd Deutschland and to have successfully obtained certification. Lamilux has thus imposed the strictest quality requirements on itself.About Lamilux Composites GmbH:Lamilux Composites GmbH has been producing fibre-reinforced composites for about 60 years.
