JEC Group have brought together the international community of composites leaders and executives in our Composites Circle as an unique networking opportunity to meet with both peers and future partners.
JEC Europe 2014 - TMP Inc. recently developed a four-post, 500-ton down-acting hydraulic press with controls and hydraulics specially designed for composite moulding. The custom press features a large 1.5 m x 3.65 m work area.
The press platens were designed for high-temperature applications with multiple tee slots for easy die changing and extended brass bushings to ensure accurate press closing. The hydraulic system features a self-contained power unit with an energy efficient pump motor combination designed to reduce overall operating costs. Further, the press met strict noise requirements when in operation. For increased operator safety, the press was designed with multiple protective features including a safety device to prevent press closure due to hydraulic line failure, light curtain safety guards around the press and expanded metal guards, plus special software to detect inadvertent press motion.Due to the scale of the large press, the hydraulic unit and control were strategically mounted on a base plate to allow unitized shipping and flexibility in the press’ location in the customer’s plant. The turnkey press order includes press shipping to the customer’s facility, rigging, press installation, utility contracting, start-up and training for the customer’s press operators.USA-based TMP Inc., a division of French, supplies a wide variety of custom technologically advanced hydraulic presses for compression, transfer and vacuum moulding.More information:www.techmach.comBooth: N80
