The company introduces its premium large tow carbon fiber “Pyrofil TRH50 60K”  to the aerospace industry.

Mitsubishi Rayon Corporation (MRC)’s premium large tow carbon fiber in conjunction with the in-house prepreg technology of C-M-P and the composite know-how of Elbe Flugzeugwerke, has successfully been introduced to the aerospace industry.

This alliance, launched for the A320 Neo project, to study possible cost savings in the aviation industry, has enabled conventional 24K carbon fiber aerospace grade to be replaced by a highly innovative, high precision but economical large tow prepreg. A substantial cost reduction could be achieved without sacrificing any of the high technical requirements of the floor panel composite laminate.

Mitsubishi Rayon Europe GmbH is a member of the Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation (MCHC) Group. Mitsubishi Rayon Group, as one of the leading carbon fiber producers, provides a variety of carbon fiber solutions for the composite industry.
