Mitsubishi Rayon ready for the acquisition of Aldila

Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. announced that all procedures required for the acquisition of Aldila were completed on March 29, 2013. The official effective time of the acquisition is April 1, 2013. 

Through this acquisition, Mitsubishi Rayon creates synergies between one of the world’s leading premium brand Aldila and their existing brands, Diamana, Fubuki, and Bassara with an aim to further grow their business in the North American carbon fiber golf shafts market.
Also, by acquisition of the carbon fiber Prepreg business of Aldila, they aim to strengthen the intermediate materials business in North America together with Mitsubishi Rayon Carbon Fiber and Composites, Inc., which is their competence center for carbon fiber and composites business in the U.S.

Mitsubishi Rayon Carbon Fiber and Composites, Inc. is a new company which has been launch in United States on April 1st 2013. It is mainly engaged in the production and sales of carbon fiber, composites and adhesive membranes.

The new company is integrated its existing group companies in the United States including a manufacturing and sales subsidiary of carbon fiber, Grafil, Inc., in Sacramento California, and the Newport Adhesives and Composites, Inc., in Irvine California.

Mitsubishi Rayon positions its carbon fiber and composites materials business as a core business for the next generation, and promotes production capacity expansions globally and development of new technologies
