JEC Group have brought together the international community of composites leaders and executives in our Composites Circle as an unique networking opportunity to meet with both peers and future partners.

Magnum Venus Products is a manufacturer of composites application equipment in the market. However, they did not get there on their own.MVP has long made it a practice to reach out to the materials suppliers who serve the composites industry and partner with them in the symbiotic development of systems that will efficiently dispense their materials. In 2015 MVP began making plans to do live closed molding demonstrations during JEC World 2016, but didn’t want to show the “same old” technology. That’s when the idea struck to look at “non-traditional” materials that could be used with a reusable silicone membrane. After research, MVP reached out to composites materials manufacturer Sicomin about partnering for demonstrations that feature infusion a skateboard with Sicomin’s bio-based epoxy GreenPoxy 56.Sicomin’s GreenPoxy 56 is a new generation bio based epoxy produced with over 50% of carbon content derived from plant and vegetable origin. Tested in accordance with ASTM D6866, GreenPoxy 56 has the highest green carbon epoxy resin content on the market, and provides excellent laminate properties as well as achieving a tough, strong and durable bond on all surfaces.Using an epoxy resin with a reusable silicone membrane in Flex Molding Process opens up a whole new world of possibilities for composites manufacturers who want to use epoxies in their closed mold production. Infusing a skateboard is a fun way to show off how well these two products, and companies, work together. Those demonstrations will take place in the MVP booth (Hall 5, booth T46) at 11:00 and 15:00 hours each day.More information: www.mvpind.com
