The companies worked together to determine the ideal material to make a reusable silicone membrane that was not only rugged, but could be manufactured quickly allowing the customer to begin production right away.

When Magnum Venus Products first began looking at a way to do closed molding, a way that would make it faster and easier for a manufacturer to change from open to closed molding without having to build a new mold, they looked to materials suppliers for solutions.

MVP had the equipment to get the job done, but hadn’t found the right materials. That is, until they partnered with Munich-based Wacker Group, Europe’s leading silicone manufacturer.

MVP and Wacker worked together to determine the ideal material to make a reusable silicone membrane that was not only rugged, but could be manufactured quickly allowing the customer to begin production right away. Wacker’s Elastosil C1200 Silicone was the answer to a lot of questions.

Over the years since Flex Molding Process was first released at JEC, MVP and Wacker have continued their partnership to insure Composites Industry manufacturers have what they need to make their production successful.

Once again, these two companies are working together on live Closed Mold demonstrations in the MVP stand (Hall 5, booth T46) at JEC World 2016. Wacker will provide the silicone and other materials needed to make the reusable membrane that will be used to infuse a skateboard twice a day at 11:00 and 15:00 hours at the expo.
