Blackman & White cutting solutions have launched a hybrid heavy duty conveyorised flatbed cutting and inkjet printing machine for the composites industry.

With the revolutionary ability to cut large panels without the limitations of a smaller cut window as suffered by many conveyorised cutters, the GENESIS INKJET HYBRID CUTTER was originally designed for a Ministry of Defence project and therefore is built to exceed their stringent requirements for high production, durability, speed, and material optimisation.

Expected to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the new machine offers the ability to cut and mark larger composite parts from glass fibre and carbon composite in a single frame. This significantly improves part cut rate with no misalignment and therefore high levels of cut accuracy. The oscillating blade tooling built with heavy duty blades increases the run time of the machine, whilst ensuring efficient running costs.
Comprising a 2m wide table with a 5m long conveyorised bed, the machine offers the added functionality of ink jet printing, crucial for part marking of multiple digits using complex codes, and minimising material handling.

The GENESIS INKJET HYBRID CUTTER has fast become a popular option within the Aerospace, Marine and Automotive industries, where speed, reliability for long period usage and reduction of material handling and wastage is critical, all on a minimal footprint.

Blackman & White will be exhibiting at the JECeurope show & conference located at Porte de Versailles, Pavillon 1, Place de la Porte de Versailles in Paris on 27th - 29th March 2012 at the Composites UK Pavillion which can be found at D17.
