Company will provide peroxides for the construction of 1,400 composite daycare center

Largest manufacturer of organic peroxides in Latin America, Polinox entered into an agreement with MVC, one of the main composites molders in Brazil, to join the list of suppliers of raw materials for a project budgeted at approximately US$ 650 million. It is the construction of 1,400 day care centers in nine states for Proinfância, a program promoted by the Brazilian Department of Education intended for the acquisition of equipment to the public school system.

By December, approximately 200 works will have started – all day care centers should be completed by the end of 2014. According to Gilmar Lima, general director of MVC, the total consumption of composites in this project will be 45 tons, divided between continuous lamination processes (24,000), pultrusion (18,000) and RTM Light (3,000).

“Polinox’s choice is due to several factors, including the partnership with MVC and its attitude towards the composites market over the past few years, in addition to the quality and competitiveness of its products,” he says.

Roberto Pontifex, director of Polinox, points out that MVC is the composite molder who has contributed the most for the material to be part of major construction projects promoted by the Brazilian federal government. “It is always a source of pride to know that our products are specified by a company such as MVC.”
