Powder coating of non-conductive materials

JEC Europe 2012 - InnoVoc Solutions technology enables the powder coating of plastics, composites and other non-conductive, non-metallic substrates by using a low-cost surface treatment that emits no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or other hazardous by-products.

The surface treatment makes the substrates temporarily conductive. Once the powder flows and cures, the part is no longer conductive.

Compared to liquid paints, powder coating is known for strong adhesion, excellent durability, potential for textured or gloss surfaces and the absence of runs and VOCs during application. The InnoVoc Solutions technology now makes these benefits practical for composites and other non-metallic substrates.
