“The achievement of this standard is a significant milestone in PCT’s Aerospace Division’s strategic road map as it not only confirms our serious intent to enter the aerospace market but it is also the key foundation block upon which to build the aerospace business. AS9100 C/ EN 9100:2009 standard is considered the first key to unlocking access to the aerospace industry and as of today PCT are one of only two composite manufacturing companies within the UAE that have achieved certification to this highly valued international aerospace quality standard ”, said Hannes Waimer, Managing Director.

This achievement will enable the aerospace division to pursue more complex work packages from a wider range of customers, however, PCT are under no illusion that they can stop here. In order to continue along its strategic growth path PCT are already setting their sights on NADCAP special process approval as well as increasing their current scope of Airbus and Boeing approvals”, he added.

AS9100 is a standardized quality management system for the aerospace and defence industry. With high reliability and full traceability, compliance is normally a condition for doing business within the industry. Certification is based upon months of preparation which culminates in an extensive third party audit. The certificate is renewed every three years and is subject to continuous assessment.

Premier composite Technologies (PCT) based in Dubai, is a leading global supplier and manufacturer of advanced composite components for Aerospace Components, Architectural Design, Transportation and Boatbuilding markets. Since its establishment in 2006, PCT has grown into a leading global supplier and manufacturer of advanced composite components delivering numerous key projects to its worldwide customer base.
