Production has commenced at epm:technology group’s new £6.75 million technology centre – almost a year to the day since the company first revealed its ambitious plans to develop a 60,000 sq ft centre in the heart of Derby.

The entire team have been working around the clock both facilitating current work schedules and completing the transition from epm’s former factory in Draycott six miles away.

Staff, assisted by external contractors, are in the final stages of transferring the production facilities into the state-of-the-art, purposely designed, new building which is a first within the composite component engineering sector developed to ensure greater capacity by using key technologies which epm have been developing over the last three years including CNC component trimming using high speed precision bonding techniques and the utilisation of robotics.

The new building has been made possible after epm: technology group secured a £4.75 million Derby Enterprise Growth Fund loan – to date, the largest single loan given to a business within the region - from Derby City Council after the local authority secure a Government’s Regional Growth Fund.
