Quatro Composites expands its Orange City facility

News International-French

25 Aug 2014

The $11.8 million expansion project will allow the company to take on additional business opportunities, in addition of its several contracts to produce carbon composite structures for the 787 Dreamliner airplane.

Quatro Composites specializes in designing and fabricating advanced composite structures for commercial aerospace, unmanned aerial vehicles and medical equipment manufacturers around the world. The company’s recent growth has been driven by several contracts from aerospace suppliers to produce carbon composite structures for the new 787 Dreamliner airplane. The increased manufacturing space will allow the company to take on additional new business opportunities for other manufacturers, as well.

The expansion has added approximately 45,000 square feet and nearly doubled the size of Quatro’s corporate and manufacturing facilities. 85 of the 99 jobs expected to be created as a result of the expansion have already been filled.

The expansion was made possible, in part, by $1.5 million in direct financial assistance from the Iowa Economic Department Authority (IEDA).
