Composyst and Trans-Textil to showcase products and services concerned with membrane-assisted vacuum infusion at JEC Americas 2014 - Atlanta.

Vacuum Assisted Process (VAP) membrane systems by Trans-Textil GmbH serve as a gas-permeable resin barrier in the Vacuum Assisted Process and enable reliable removal of trapped air and gas during the whole infusion procedure.

From 13 to 15 May, the exclusive manufacturer of VAP membrane systems will be exhibiting its products at the JEC Americas in Atlanta along with Composyst GmbH, provider of full services in the VAP-related application technology field.

In established out-of-autoclave technology, use of semi-permeable VAP membrane systems enables dependable fabrication of complex components characterized by extremely low porosity and precise fiber volume content. Trans-Textil and Composyst meet such requirements as cost reduction, enhanced quality and series production on an industrial scale with both the development of new materials, and longtime manufacturing experience. Their expertise enables track-tested VAP technology to be harnessed to special requirements as applicable in the aerospace industry, production of rotor blades for wind turbines, boat building and further industrial applications.

Use of semi-permeable membranes in the VAP process is protected by international patent rights. Trans-Textil is the exclusive manufacturer of licensed VAP membrane systems and general licensee of VAP patent holder Airbus, and in collaboration with Composyst GmbH offers interested production firms not only innovative materials and applications technology support but also uncomplicated access to the VAP license required for use of the patented process.
