The Toulouse aerospace laboratory operated by global testing group Exova has appointed a senior engineer to further strengthen service for clients.

Alexandre Gautheron joins the French laboratory as project engineer, and takes charge of managing activities for a number of key Exova clients including Airbus and Safran.

The experienced engineer joins from a role working on behalf of Alten Aerosopace as a sub-contractor for project and programme management in the Airbus research and technology department, also in Toulouse. In this position, Alexandre worked as project management officer supporting the head of overall aircraft design and research.

Alexandre also spent time as an apprentice engineer in mechanical testing and materials for the corporate research centre for EADS, now EADS Innovation Works. He holds degrees in engineering, and physics and metallography.

Pascal Escola, general manager at Exova Toulouse, said: “Exova has made significant investment in its aerospace division in recent months and we continue to invest in our staff.

“Alexandre has a great background and we believe his appointment will benefit the customers we work for in the region.”
