Shanghai FRP RI 2 MW wind turbine blade project started production

Last month, Shanghai FRP Research Institute (Tong Tai) Co., Ltd 45.3 meters long, 8 tons wind blade was slowly lifted from the template.

Shanghai FRP Research Institute (Tong Tai) Co., Ltd (Shanghai FRP RI (Tong Tai)) 45.3 meters long, 8 tons wind blade was slowly lifted from the template. This first 2 MW wind turbine blade successful trial production marks the company's 2 MW wind turbine blades project officially put into production.

 

Shanghai FRP RI (Tong Tai) blades project was constructed with the investment by Shanghai FRP Research Institute Co., Ltd. The project total investment is $55 million USD. It covers an area of 240000 square meter of land. The project also involved the acquisition of mold temperature machine, adhesive mixing machine, resin mixing machine, drilling and other Wind blade main production more than 20 sets equipment. Project started the construction in June 2011 and took 12 months for its completion, with an annual production capacity of 420 sets 630MW 1.5-5MW products. It is expected annual sales income to reach $47 million USD.

 

Shanghai FRP RI (Tong Tai) blade reached the industry-leading level from strength, fatigue, noise, composites layer design to mold processing, mold manufacturing, resin system selection. After normal production, the three sets of molds can be used simultaneously with one blade produced everyday.
