Sigmatex selects continues to invest in its manufacturing facilities

Sigmatex, a UK based manufacturer of carbon composite textiles, has begun expansion work at its Runcorn, UK manufacturing facility.

The $4 million investment is in response to the impressive growth performance in 2014 and continued strong demand for its innovative technologies in 2015.

Further to recent announcements about the new facility in the US and the its Light weighting centre in the UK, this investment is focused on its current technologies, to continue to service the Automotive and Aerospace markets as well as offer future capacity to service its existing impressive customer base.

The investment in manufacturing capacity will represent  projected 40% uplift in output and is expected to initially create 20 new jobs in the Runcorn facility and will provide Sigmatex’s customers with additional looms dedicated to carbon textiles, as well as multiaxial, SpreadTow and unidirectional technologies when the project is completed.

Sigmatex has been developing a number of innovative technologies and process developments with a number of OEM’s that is enabling this investment and will generate significant growth in the aerospace and automotive markets.
