Sintex Wausaukee Composites announces start of construction on LRTM facilities in India

The subsidiary of Sintex Industries Limited announces the start of construction of their first production unit for the manufacture of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) components in Pune, Maharashta, India. 

Once operational, the cell will manufacture OEM quality FRP components using Light Resin Transfer Molding (LRTM) technology and techniques developed by the company and is scheduled to begin operations by the end of the 2nd quarter 2014.

The new production cell is the pioneering effort of Sintex Wausaukee Composites' (SWC) global supply initiative under the Special Projects Vehicle (SPV) to deliver FRP components of the same quality, engineering design and performance to target OEM customers globally. The first of its kind production cell will be installed at Sintex Wausaukee’s sister company, Bright Autoplast Ltd in Pune. In transferring the proven SWC technology, the company expands it’s presence to a global scale and begins to deliver on the company’s growth initiatives to deliver innovative, high quality composite solutions worldwide.
