Recently the solidian GmbH, Albstadt/Germany took majority interest in the Kelteks d.o.o, Karlovac/Croatia. With this involvement solidian expands its range of products and technologies for the production of non-metal reinforcements for the building industry.

Kelteks, a weaving mill specialized in technical textiles for the building sector, and solidian, supplier of textile-reinforcement for concrete to the building industry, complement each other ideally: in their today's product ranges there are almost no overlappings, and their production processes are based on different technologies. While the products of Kelteks are woven fabrics, the products of solidian are based on scrim. Both companies use glass, AR (alkali-resistant glass fibers), basalt, and carbon fibers. In the future, solidian will be able to offer the full range of products and corresponding service from one source.

The solidian GmbH is in the market since autumn 2013 and is a fully owned subsidiary of Groz-Beckert. In it, the group concentrates its years of experience and know-how in the field of textile-reinforced concrete. Already in the construction of the world's longest textile-reinforced concrete bridge, in 2010, the solidian experts were instrumental. They delivered the centerpiece of this unique structure: the textile scrim on the basis of epoxy-impregnated glass fibers. Still today, this bridge is one of the most filigree concrete constructions of the world. Today the company develops, produces, and sells its reinforcements under the brand name soligrid.

Kelteks was founded as a family business in 1990 and has been a competent partner of the building and composite industry ever since. Today, the company's glass fiber fabrics are predominantly used as reinforcement or plaster grid for interior and exterior works. Based on years of experience and development, since 2012 the company additionally offers customized fabrics made of AR, basalt, and carbon fibers and sold under the brand name CRS (Concrete Reinforcement Solutions) by Kelteks. They are used, for example, for the reinforcement of different concrete constructions. The composite products can be found in the sports and leisure sector, marine and automotive sector. The company's production sites are in Croatia at the headquarters in Karlovac and in nearby Krnjak and will be expanded as part of solidian's commitment.
