Located at the historic 1916 and Potter Auditorium Buildings, this ramp is one of many changes taking place as the area is being transformed into a modern, sustainable, regional destination for the arts. The 5’ x 20’ ramp was built using Strongwell-manufactured fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites, prefabricated at Strongwell’s Chatfield location, and then sent to the install site at the northwest entrance to the Chatfield Center for the Arts building. Mike Tuohy, a member of the Center for the Arts Advisory Board, arranged site preparation and along with Strongwell personnel, supervised the final installation of the donated structure.Strongwell-Chatfield’s General Manager, Mike Jaszewski, said that, “Strongwell is proud to be a part of a community-wide effort to create an arts center with regional influence and continues to support the Chatfield community in its efforts.”About Strongwell Corporation:Headquartered in Bristol, Virginia, Strongwell is the world’s leading and largest pultruder of fiber reinforced polymer composites.
