Taikoo Spirit won EASA certification

Recently, Taikoo Spirit AeroSystems (Jinjiang) Composite Co., Ltd. won the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) certification.

This certification certifies this company to provide a variety of detection repair and overhaul services to the reverse thrust device, the flight control system and other complex components.


This certification is a complement to the existing civil aviation administration of China (CAAC) and the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certifications.


Taikoo Spirit AeroSystems (Jinjiang) Composite Co. Ltd. (Taikoo Spirit) is a joint venture between Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (HAECO) and Spirit AeroSystems. The other shareholders include Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (TAECO), Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, and Quanzhou Export Processing Zone Management (QEPZ).


Spirit parts & components market customer support department vice president and general manager Mike Williams said:

The EASA certification is the latest step for the company to build up a world class maintenance, repair and MRO workshop. As part of our global MRO network, Taikoo Spirit continued to develop and expand to meet the growing customer demand. Taikoo Spirit currently provides composite materials assembly support for Boeing China and the Asia Pacific region and Airbus narrow-body and wide-body aircraft. It also offers repair, manufacture and after sale services."
