Textile Engineering And Manufacturing (TEAM), the weaver of 2D and 3D fabrics and net shape preforms primarily for composites applications, announced that it has broken ground on an expansion to its current manufacturing facility in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, US.

This expansion will double the size of the company's Woonsocket facility allowing them to better meet the growing needs of current programs while also giving them the added space to pursue additional opportunities.

The anticipated completion of the addition is planned for March 2015. The company is in the process of evaluating and acquiring new equipment, which will increase its 2D and 3D weaving capacity and expand their product capabilities.

Earlier this year, the company also expanded the manufacturing capabilities of its West Coast Division in Vacaville, California. They relocated the company to a larger manufacturing space which allowed them to add additional equipment and improve upon current capabilities. T.E.A.M.’s Vacaville operation continues to focus on high quality 2D woven roll goods. That relocation enables the company to expand their capacity and better support their West Coast customers.
