Thermoplastic composite surface veils

JEC Europe 2015 - Thermoplastic composite surface veils (TPV) are a surfacing layer for thermoplastic composites.

The pure polymer layer creates a high-quality surface finish similar to class-A automotive surfaces. It can include a UV stabiliser to extend the life of caravan roofs, an FDA-approved resin to transport food safely or colours to give a low-cost route to high colour density.

It also includes a barrier technology to block the migration of the reinforcing fibres to the surface. This reduces user risks due to exposure to the glass fibres, increases part durability and enables an enhanced surface with greater appeal to users.
