The company won the Silver Star award from National Recycling Stards in recognition of their contribution to the reduction of landfill waste, recycling rates and overall waste management.

The National Recycling Stars is a free to join accreditation scheme that rewards and recognises UK businesses that are actively engaged in increasing the amount of waste they divert from landfill, whilst improving their recycling rates and overall waste management. It aims to improve the recycling or diversion rates of businesses that join, through sharing best practice. Businesses that want to achieve the higher awards need to provide information about recycling initiatives already in place and how they have actively encouraged staff to work together to embrace recycling.

The award, which was met by recycling over 80% of the company’s waste, highlights TRB’s passion and commitment to recycling and sustainability.

Paul Colquitt, Production Manager at TRB said, “We are all very proud of our achievement with National Recycling Stars and we’ll continue to explore ways to improve our recycling and sustainability programme.”
