Two recent promotions at Asahi Kasei Plastics

Ramesh Iyer has been promoted to Vice President - Commercial Operations and Michael Balow to Vice President - Technology & Applications Development at Asahi Kasei Plastics North America, Inc.

John Moyer, President, Asahi Kasei Plastics North America, Inc. recently announced the promotion of Ramesh Iyer to Vice President – Commercial Operations.  As Vice President, Iyer will continue to direct marketing and new business development.  In addition, Ramesh will be responsible for the globalization of the Thermylene® Polypropylene products In Europe, Brazil, China and India.  "Ramesh Iyer is a proven leader having directed applications growth of our products in multiple markets," said Moyer.  "We look forward to greater success with his continued leadership steering the growth of our unique product line and commercial operations."

John Moyer also announce the promotion of Michael Balow to Vice President – Technology & Applications Development.  Balow was previously Director of Technology and as Vice President, he will continue to direct innovation with responsibility for research and technology development applications and services worldwide.  Balow has managed the development of new products at Asahi Kasei Plastics over the last 2 years.  He has over 25 years of additional technical and innovation development experience, with Polyolefins and Engineer Plastics, in automotive, industrial, packaging and the building and construction markets.
