JEC Europe 2013 - Zotefoams continues to develop innovative products and services and will present them during the show.

Zotefoams plc, a manufacturer of cross-linked block foams for markets such as automotive, aero, sports, packaging, healthcare, building, marine & military, offers a range of lightweight, closed cell foams based on engineering thermoplastic polyamide:  Zotek N. The benefits of polyamide are its thermal (over 200°C) and chemical resistance. Polyamide is particularly resistant to swelling by hydrocarbons such as oils.

These materials can be used to manufacture complex shapes economically by well-known thermoforming or vacuum forming methods. The resulting products can be used in a variety of applications to provide lightweight, insulating and impact-resistant components. The key properties of Zotek N products allow their use as lightweight cores in innovative sandwich composite solutions in both traditional and future solutions. Their small cellular structure means low resin uptake and high heat resistance, allowing for shorter and economic autoclave cycling.

Zotek F is a range of lightweight, closed-cell foams based on the fluoropolymer Kynar® PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride). It is a remarkable material that offers a unique balance of properties including temperature, UV and chemical resistance combined with excellent flammability performance.
