V+I Composites Inc., reaches next stage, evolves to become "Aonix Advanced Materials Corporation"

To mark its growth in the increasingly competitive high tech advanced materials market, today V+I Composites Inc. launched itself as Aonix Advanced Materials Corporation ("Aonix").

"This rebranding announcement is a symbolic message to the Ottawa region that our company has reached its next phase of growth, and is poised to play a larger role in the local economy and as a global leader," said Aonix President and CEO Jerome Le Corvec.



A recognized expert in composite materials design and production, Aonix has established a strong reputation for enabling its customers to develop market-leading products by incorporating revolutionary composite materials. Its founder has already developed technologies that have been used to innovate world championship racing sailboats, Stanley Cup winning hockey sticks, and fuel efficient airliners.



The company's growth potential is closely linked to the overall market potential for this type of technology, which is estimated to be $56 billion and is expected to grow 22% by 2014. "Composite materials hold tremendous promise for use in a wider range of high- performance applications, and our company is well positioned to take advantage of this exciting market," said Jerome Le Corvec.



Situated in West Ottawa, Aonix Corp. has been doubling in size every year since its inception in 2008. Today the company has grown to include an employment base of 18full time employees that includes engineers, scientists and researchers. Aonix is expected to add 30 more new high value jobs within the next two years.
