Texinov won the innovation award at Techtextil

Texinov is among the winners of Techtextil Innovation Prize 2013, category New Materials, with silicone based warp knitted textiles for medical and composite applications

The innovation was developed in partnership with Bluestar Silicones (silicone elastomer) and Masseboeuf (coating of yarns) in the collaborative project Silicotex, with support of the French authorities (FUI).

New knits and 3D structures (patented by TEXINOV) with these specially coated yarns that can be polyester or glass fibers based, designing totally new textile solutions for various applications :

China first hemp textile academician workstation launched in Tai'an city

Last month, China first hemp textile academician workstation was launched in Tai'an city Jinfeihong Weaving Co., Ltd (Jinfeihong), Shandong province. The academician workstation textile materials research team was led by Chinese Academy of Engineering academician, Yao Mu.

The academician workstation will play a role as the enterprise incubator and a role to promote research and industry cooperation with the Tai'an advantageous hemp resources and industrial development.

Daiyue district is speeding up the development of hemp industry to turn the resource advantages into industrial advantages and many hemp weaving enterprises have been built in recent years.

Markos expands composite production

The shareholders and Markos board of directors decided to start building another production facility dedicated to fibre reinforced composites.

The decision resulted from an analysis of trends in the global composites market and was a response to growing customer needs for large-size laminate products.

The production area will be over 2000 sqm and another over 900 sqm for storing, offices and social rooms.

The new hall is dedicated to fibre reinforced composites in closed mould techniques (mainly vacuum bag moulding technology). In the first stage, casing of wind turbines will be produced.

Dutch Aerospace industry and Agentschap NL enter the French market

Agentschap NL, a division of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs that supports sustainable joint initiatives in developing countries and emerging markets, and the Aerospace Strategy Group France signed an alliance within the program Partners for International Business (PIB). The main focus of this program is to strengthen the market position in France through promotion and the exchange of knowledge in the field of composites and engines.

Secretary of the Aerospace Strategy Group France is the Dutch trade organization of the aerospace industry, the Netherlands Aerospace Group (NAG). Frank Jansen, managing director NAG: “The aerospace industry is asking for a long term commitment and a strategic approach.
