CGTech will feature the European debut of Vericut Composites Paths for Engineers (VCPe) at the JEC Composites show, March 27-29, 2012. VCPe provides all the features of the established Vericut Composites Programming product (VCP) but without being configured to program a specific Automated Fibre Placement (AFP) machine. VCPe will allow design and production engineers to develop manufacturing strategies for composites parts and test for manufacturability in a virtual environment.

Hexagon Composites' subsidiary Devold AMT has decided to initiate a process with the employee representatives, with the intention to move the remaining production of composite reinforcements in Langevåg in Norway to the company's factory in Lithuania. Up to 26 employees will be affected by the proposed decommissioning.

American Eurocopter announced today that it has been officially recognized as the regional hub for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) for Eurocopter EC135 and EC145 customers in North and Latin America. This certification covers D-level MRO activities for all EC135 and EC145 airframes, blades and dynamic components.

Norwegian commits to 100 A320neo aircraft

The european low-cost airlines has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for 100 A320neo aircraft. The agreement makes Norwegian the latest customer for the A320neo and also a new customer for Airbus.
