Appraisal committee thinks the result achieved for the first time China's own R&D blade design and technology export. The research achievement is the in international advanced level. There are 3 types of blades are used respectively in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Hebei. And all the blades are operating in good condition.
Research and development mainly took measures in aerodynamic and structural two aspects. Its target is to achieve the reduced load, control weight. In the mean time, the wind wheel blade aerodynamic, structural optimization has been performed in consideration of the annual power generation.
The mass production has been started for this project 1.5 MW 38 / 40.3 /42.8 meters series wind wheel blade design, manufacturing, and testing. At the same time, the design technology has been applied to 2.5 MW and 3 MW series blades.
China usable low wind resource area approximately accounts 68% the national wind resource area, and geologically near the power network load center, mainly in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Anhui, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Sichuan and Yunnan-Guizhou region.
Different geographical and climatic characteristics have different requirements to the blade design. China is abundant in offshore wind resources. Offshore wind power blade is also an inevitable development trend.
At the same time, blades become larger and larger. In order to reduce blade transportation costs and to ensure safe transportation sectional type blade development already becomes a must.
