Account Manager Southern Europe

For our Marketing & Sales Team we are looking for an Account Manager (Focus on France, Spain and Italy) with good communication skills and preferably a strong track record in the Composite environment.

We are looking for a hunter, an ambitious person who enjoys exploring opportunities with customers and is skilled in the art of negotiation. You will be responsible for the business generated in Southern Europe, mainly France, Spain and Italy. You will work in an international environment and report directly to the Director of Marketing and Sales of Aliancys.


  • Hunt for opportunities within the market and realize sales in line with agreed plans and overall customer objectives
  • Build relations across disciplines and at multiple levels within the targeted accounts for maximizing commercial success
  • Identify long term business opportunities with the account(s) and include these in the Accounts Plans/ Sales strategies. Maintain these opportunities in the regional sales opportunity list (SOL). Manage the SOL and related actions to bring the opportunities to a commercial success
  • Define and implement development projects in collaboration with Industry Managers with focus on key products and innovation, working closely with Technical Service and other disciplines
  • Lead contract and price negotiations with the targeted accounts and ensure the conclusion of sales contracts/ price levels within the agreed price and volume targets
  • Coordinate technical service or after sales service activities for the account
  • Collect customer and/ or market information and communicate current and emerging needs for the accounts
  • Communicate via written and verbal reports. Monthly written reports including progress and issues at account are customary


  • Full time position.
  • Strong relationship builder and connector, able to act on all levels across disciplines, both externally and internally.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in sales in an international environment. Ability to develop account plans and coordinate business activities relevant for the account across cultures and geographies.
  • Language skills: English, French, any additional European language is welcomed.
  • No preference in nationality.
  • Educational level: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or  Business Management/ Sales or equivalent experience in relevant discipline
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage others
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Based: home office or from the location in either Zwolle, the Netherlands or Compiegne, France or Filago, Italy
