According to China Shipping News, recently, Jiangyinshi Beihai LSA CO., Ltd (BEIHAI) a 124 meters long, 44 meters wide, two layers structure, constant temperature and humidity FRP lifeboat dedicated production plant officially put into production.

First heavy lift job with Twaron stay cables successfully completed
Heavy lift and transport specialist BigLift Shipping successfully completed the first job with their new super fly jib. Initiated by Huisman the first ever super fly jib was equipped with special Twaron stay cables to lengthen the crane to a radius of 55 meters. The aramid fiber Twaron is lightweight and five times stronger than steel. This results in a reduced installation time while enabling an increase in lifting height and outreach during heavy lifting activities.

New D-Iso/NPG gelcoat technology and high performance materials
A new UV weather resistant Crystic® Permabright advanced polymer technology gelcoat, and other high performance products have been developed by Scott Bader, including: Crestapol® moulding and pultrusion resins which can be heavily ATH filled for fire retardant applications; Crestabond® range of primer-less MMA based structural adhesives suitable for bonding not only composites, but metals and plastic substrates; and Crystic Fireguard 75PA Excel, an intumescent topcoat used for building, marine and land transportation fire protection applications.

Ashland joins Boat Xperience in partnership with Barracuda
Ashland Performance Materials, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc., participated in the Boat Xperience boat show, which took place in Guarujá, São Paulo.
