SLC-LAB

The Sirris Leuven-Gent Composites Application Lab (SLC-Lab) focuses on the design and development of composite components, industrial demonstrators, prototypes and technology transfer. SLC-Lab is a central hub for Belgian innovations in composites. Besides the coordination of testing campaigns, the lab offers companies and academic partners access to production technologies, such as: thermoplastic press forming, deep drawing, vacuum infusion, resin transfer moulding and RTM-light. It closely collaborates with Belgian companies (material suppliers, composite processors, designers and OEMs) and incorporates them in Belgian and European research projects. SLC-Lab is an open, industry-driven initiative of Sirris, KU Leuven and UGent and combines profound knowledge and infrastructure in the domain of composites.
