Apply Carbon (part of Procotex Corporation Belgium) announced investments to expand their production of recycled carbon fibres and facilitate the integration of the recent asset deal of the short Carbon Fibre business of ELG UK.

The new 15,600 m² facility built in 2014 with an extra 90,000 m² of expansion possibilities in Plouay, Brittany – France will help to address the growing market for recycled carbon fibres in the near future.

“Within a very short timeframe, expansion of the Plouay site has created a tremendous economic growth and opportunities for Apply Carbon, ” said Bruno Douchy, sales director of the Procotex Corporation group which Apply Carbon is part of.

The production site at Languidic – France and the transfer of the machinery and Carbon Fibre stocks of ELG UK will gradually be integrated in this new facility. This merger will create a state-of-the-art process capability and quality, capacity to serve the worldwide growing needs of sustainable Carbon fibres.
