Edencraft Creative expands with composites
Since 2022, the Edencraft group of companies, headquartered in Geelong, Victoria, has been making significant advancements under the leadership of Josie Maher-Eastman. The group encompasses Edencraft International, Edencraft Marine, and the newly established Edencraft Creative, each contributing uniquely to the marine and manufacturing sectors.
Edencraft International, with a 35-year legacy, is celebrated for its high-quality fiberglass offshore fishing boats, particularly its iconic 233 Formula hull. The company offers customizable boats ranging from 6 to 7.77 meters, catering to both recreational and commercial anglers. In 2024, the company launched its largest model to date, the 255 Formula, which has been met with strong market approval.
Edencraft Marine complements the manufacturing arm as a full-service center for the Geelong community, operating as an authorized Mercury and Mercruiser dealership. The service center supports all major boat brands and outboards, reinforcing the Edencraft brand’s commitment to quality and customer care.
In November 2023, Edencraft ventured into B2B manufacturing with the launch of Edencraft Creative. This division specializes in producing plugs and molds for various industries, including the pool and yacht sectors, utilizing advanced 5-axis CNC technology. A key partnership with ATL Composites has been integral to this expansion. Edencraft Creative chose ATL’s TECHNIREZ and DURATEC products for their superior machining properties, which align with the company’s high standards. This collaboration has already yielded successful outcomes, including contracts with prominent clients like Riviera Motor Yachts and Summertime Pools.
The Edencraft group’s growth has been driven by a commitment to innovation, including the strategic transition from timber to high-density composites in boat construction. This forward-thinking approach has helped the company expand its workforce from just two people to 45 employees in eight years.
Looking to the future, Edencraft has ambitious plans, including the development of new boat models and further expansion into diverse industries through Edencraft Creative. With its strong focus on quality, innovation, and strategic partnerships, the company is well-positioned for continued growth and success on both national and international stages.
