China’s CNBM sets up a subsidiary dedicated to graphite-based new materials
CNBM Graphite New Material Co., Ltd. (“CNBM Graphite”) officially opened in Beijing. Zhou Yuxian, chairman of China National Building Materials Group (CNBM), delivered a speech during the unveiling ceremony which was presided over by Ye Yingchun, general manager of CNBM Graphite.
CNBM president Zhou Yuxian fully approved the preparatory work of CNBM Graphite, congratulated the formal establishment of the company, and put forward requirements and hopes for the next step of development. He said that CNBM Graphite is the first three-level important platform established by CNBM after it was approved as a state-owned capital investment company. It is a sign of the group’s accelerated evolution towards new materials, especially new energy materials.
Zhou Yuxian emphasized that CNBM Graphite should firmly move forward from minerals to down-stream processing, and vigorously develop new graphite materials based on the field of natural graphite, so as to open up the situation for the application of China’s graphite new materials in the new energy industry.
