CIMC Enric launches its first 30 MPa carbon fibre tube bundle hydrogen container
CIMC Enric announced that CIMC Hydrogen Energy High-pressure Gas Hydrogen Division of the company, namely Shijiazhuang Enric Gas Equipment Company Limited, has successfully rolled out China’s first 30 MPa carbon fibre winding tube bundle hydrogen container (30 MPa hydrogen tube bundle container) and secured batch orders and production.
CIMC Hydrogen Energy High-pressure Gas Hydrogen Division completed the type test of 30MPa winding hydrogen cylinders. It also passed the validation tests. After more than two years of meticulous work, the company has launched the 30 MPa carbon fibre winding tube bundle hydrogen container, which significantly improves the carrying capacity of high-pressure hydrogen single-vehicle, doubles the economic transport radius compared to 20 MPa transport vehicles, and significantly reduces the transport costs.
Apart from achieving storage and transport efficiency for domestic high-pressure bundled containers, the unique structure of the 30 MPa Hydrogen Tube Bundle container meets the needs of filling and unloading of hydrogen refueling stations with multiple pressure levels, thereby effectively contributes to the expansion of hydrogen energy application scenarios both domestically and internationally. Additionally, this product is the first in China to be equipped with an intelligent cut-off system, which monitors the temperature and pressure of hydrogen in the cylinder in real-time, greatly enhancing safety performance.
Hydrogen storage and transportation play a central role in the development of the hydrogen industry. Currently, high-pressure gas transportation remains the main mode of hydrogen transportation. With the increasing demand for cost reduction throughout the hydrogen energy industrial chain, storage and transportation have become the focal points of cost reduction efforts.
Executive Director and President of CIMC Enric, Yang Xiaohu, said: “The successful launch, acquisition of batch orders and production of the 30 MPa hydrogen tube bundle container are important advancements for both the business and for industry. Hydrogen storage and transportation costs will help drive the commercialization of the entire hydrogen energy industrial chain, particularly the development of end-use applications. As a leader in the field of hydrogen energy storage and transportation, the company is committed to achieving technological breakthroughs in high-pressure hydrogen gas, liquid hydrogen and other multiple pathways. In the future, we will also continue to innovate and overcome difficulties in the field of hydrogen energy storage and transportation equipment, continuously leading the development of the industry.”
