Composites pipes are theme of ALMACO seminar
The pipe committee of the Latin American Composite Materials Association (ALMACO) will promote the seminar “FRP pipes: new applications and trends” at Petrobras’ engineering department headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.
With presentations from suppliers of raw materials and manufacturers of composites pipes, the meeting will aim to reinforce the dissemination of the benefits provided by these types of pipes in applications onshore and offshore
Erika Bernardino Aprá, president of ALMACO, summarizes:
“The list of advantages includes several points, such as high resistance to corrosion, temperature and pressure, associated with lightness, ease of installation and, possibly, non-destructive repairs”
Throughout the day, Petrobras engineers will be able to accompany ten lectures presented by Engcom, Glastec, NOV, Petrofisa, Saertex, Teijin Aramid, Team do Brasil and UTCOM representatives.
