Cryomotive team is ready to start inhouse manufacturing of first CRYOGAS hydrogen storage vessels
Cryomotive has reached an important milestone on the way to develop CRYOGAS (cryo-compressed, CcH2) hydrogen pressure vessels for truck and bus application.
Their new Microsam winding machine has been commissioned and first full-size liners for truck application are ready to be reinforced with a proprietary carbon fiber composite structure. Their first generation CRYOGAS onboard hydrogen storage system will consist of two insulated pressure vessels to store up to 80 kg cryogenic hydrogen gas generated by either cryo-compressing liquid hydrogen (LH2) or by cryo-cooling gaseous hydrogen (GH2).
The integrated first generation Cryomotive frame-mounted CRYOGAS hydrogen storage system will be able to provide gaseous hydrogen in a well-defined temperature range with an adustable pressure up to 3 MPa (30 bars), suitable to power any fuel cell or hydrogen internal combustion engine powertrain.
