Jilin Chemical has started its first 35K prepreg special large tow carbonization line

The special large tow carbonization line for 35K prepreg is a patented technology independently developed by Jilin Chemical, which is a first in China. The annual production capacity of a single line is more than 3,000 tons. The mechanical strength index has reached the industry’s T700 leading level. “After the production line is put into operation, it will promote the upgrading of the entire carbon fiber industry chain”, says Jilin Chemical. 

This is another important project of Jilin Chemical after the start of the first 35K wind power special large tow carbonization line this year. In Spring 2022, Jilin Chemical started its first 35K special large tow carbonization line for wind power, which marked the company’s first carbon fiber project with an annual output of 6,000 tons. The single-line production capacity of this carbonization line is more than 2,500 tons, and it is the first production line put into operation by Jilin Chemical after the COVID-19 epidemic. 

This carbonization line is the first large tow carbonization line dedicated to 35K wind power in China. The products are mainly targeting well-known domestic wind power blade manufacturers such as Sany Heavy Energy, Shanghai Electric, and Mingyang Electric.
