Eastman Machine Company, is a 130+ years-old American company based in Buffalo, New York , USA which provides customized engineered solutions and innovative technologies for a variety of industries. It offers a wide range of classic, hand-held and manually-operated fabric cutting machines; as well as a comprehensive line of fully automated, computerized cutting and plotting systems.

A problem solver
According to Stevenson father and son, Eastman Machine Company likes new problems brought by their customers. They define themselves as solution providers; machines being only a part of the equation. Trevor, for example, explains in the podcast the solution developed for a giant wind blade manufacturer needing the rewinding of fabric.

Innovation as DNA
No surprise, you must innovate to stay in Business for 130+ years. Robert Stevenson, the 4th generation owner of the company says that Eastman Machine Company is old but agile. As a matter of fact, 80% of Eastman’s products didn’t exist 20 years ago. Nowadays, Eastman works with robotics company to provide fully automated solution and is also very open minded on the software side for easier integration.
