Sinoma Technology and Hexion Chemical signed a long-term strategic partnership
Sinoma Technology Wind Power Blade Co., Ltd. and Hexion Chemical Enterprise Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement on the resin and structural adhesive materials for wind power blades. Their aim is to jointly develop large-megawatt offshore blades.
Sinoma Technology Wind Power Blade Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of China National Building Materials Group Co., Ltd. (CNBM) that specializes in the research, design, manufacturing, sales and technical services of wind power blades and their molds. Hexion Group is a US major producer of epoxy resin system manufacturer and composite material solution provider, with 50 years of wind power blade application history.
Over the years, the two parties have cooperated in R&D, technology, and production, and have continuously introduced innovative products that lead the Chinese wind power market. Meanwhile, Hexion Chemical also maintains long-term and stable business cooperation with two of the world’s largest glass fiber producers (also under the umbrella of CNBM) – Jushi Group and Taishan Fiberglass.
Ms Rong Tiezhi, Commercial Director of Hexion Chemical’s Asia-Pacific region, said that “the next cooperation step between the two parties actively integrates their respective advantages and resources and jointly develops offshore large-megawatt blades. We are jointly developing overseas markets to achieve benefit sharing, risk sharing, and win-win cooperation. At the same time, our company and CNBM will strengthen cooperation in various fields such as aerospace, automotive lightweighting, reinforced fiber materials, research and development of new materials, and recycling to achieve a comprehensive win-win situation.”
